The foundation of Voss

Voss was founded by the founder Ernst Voss, who was a retired colonel. In 1878 in Fredericia, he started producing lamps and the like at home in his own basement.

Voss became a limited company in 1947. At the beginning of the 1960s, the production of lamps was produced for electricity, but the demand for stoves was high. Therefore, in 1968, it was decided that production should concentrate exclusively on stoves. After that, the company produced stoves with electricity, combined with gas as well as built-in ovens, which is still what the company is about today.

Today you can find ovens and stoves at Voss. But also everything you can imagine of white goods in the cooking genre. Induction, gas, electricity, steam, ceramic etc. Voss focuses on quality and the best of their white goods for their customers.

Voss was acquired in 1980 by the Swedish white goods company Electrolux. Voss therefore had the company's name changed from Voss to Electrolux Home Products Fredericia A/S in 1999, as a subsidiary of Electrolux Home Products Denmark A/S. However, the Voss name is still used on their website as well as marketing.
