Washing machine heats up too much

Washing machine heats up too much

Step 1:

This may be due to a faulty thermostat/sensor. The sensor informs the control that the correct temperature has been reached. If it is defective, it can result in incorrect water temperatures.

Step 2:

Older machines

Older machines are equipped with a thermostat with a capillary sensor (under pressure).
This sensor sits at the end of a thin metal tube, which must not be shortened or have sharp bends, as the effect will then cease.

Stage 3:

Newer machines

Newer machines have an NTC sensor, which is an electronic sensor that measures the ohmic resistance via the printed circuit board (this changes when the temperature changes)

If you do not find the fault in a faulty operating thermostat, the problem can also be caused by a faulty control board.
