Washing machine takes water in but pumps it out immediately

Step 1:

The error may be due to problems with the installation of the drain hose, and that it thereby creates a so-called "siphon" effect - be aware that this error can easily occur after a long period of trouble-free operation. If the end of the drain hose ends below the water level in the washing machine, this will result in negative pressure being created and the water being sucked out of the washing machine. The washing machine has a level control which must ensure that the washing machine gets the correct amount of water in and when this does not happen, the washing machine continues to take in water.
It is recommended that the hose be installed approx. 80-90 cm above floor height. This is done, for example, by inserting the hose into a loose-fitting plastic pipe which is mounted in the drain.

Step 1:

The water hose lies along the floor

Step 2:

The water hose hangs on the edge of the toilet in the hanger that came with the washing machine

Step 3:

The water hose ends above the water level, but is clamped around the drain pipe so that it closes tightly. In this way, the drain pipe acts as an extension, thereby creating negative pressure.

Step 4:

The hose is raised above floor level and at the recommended height of 80-90 cm, but the washing machine is on an elevation, plinth, washing stand or similar, whereby the water level in the machine is higher than the end of the hose, and a negative pressure is thereby created.
