Washing machine stops in the program

Popular Question

Washing machine stops in the program

Step 1:

If the machine shows an error code in the display after it has stopped, you can often find the answer to the problem in your user manual.

Step 2:

The error may be caused by a clogged strainer or hose. Start by cleaning the fiber screen. If there is water in the washing machine, even if you have the strainer out, the bottom hose is blocked and this will result in the washing machine not progressing in the programme. Check that the water can come out of the drain hose - this can be done, for example, by laying the hose on the floor. Remove the inlet hose at the washing machine, stick the hose in a bucket and check that water comes out and that there is pressure on the water.

Step 3:

The error may be due to a faulty heater. If the washing machine stops at the start of the program, just after it has taken in water, it may be because the heating element is broken. Some washing machines can wash in cold water, yours can, you should try running a cold water programme. If the washing machine can complete the program in cold water, then it is most likely the heating element that is faulty.

Step 4:

If you cannot find the error in the points above, the error may be due to the control board or the motor control.
