Oven heats too much

If your oven heats up too much, the reason may be one of the following:

• If your oven gets too hot, it could be due to a faulty thermostat. You can check if the thermostat is defective by using a multimeter and check the continuity.
• If your oven gets too hot, it may be due to a faulty temperature sensor. Using a manual from your oven, you can find out the resistance of the sensor. Unplug the appliance and use a multimeter to see if your sensor is in the correct resistance.
