Oven heats too little

If your oven heats too little, can it be due to the following:

• An oven has three heaters called superheater, underfloor and ring heater. If one of these heaters is defective, your oven will not heat up.
• If your oven does not heat up, it could also be due to a faulty thermostat. If the thermostat is defective, the result would be either no heat, or at the highest heat setting.
• If your oven does not arm, it may also be due to a defective switch. The oven function settings will not work if the switch is defective. Fortunately, in some cases, there are more visible signs of a defective switch, which is a burnt plug on the switch itself.
