Miele washing machine error code

Error code F0220

If your washing machine displays the error code F0220, there is an error in the water supply.

With error code F0220, your washing machine may have problems taking in water. This may be due to the solenoid valve being defective. If you find that the washing machine is taking in water, it is probably the level control that is faulty. In older washing machines, the level control is analogue and therefore it is sufficient to replace the level control. If you are using a newer model washing machine, the level control is part of the control board and it will therefore be necessary to replace the control board.

Error code F16

When the washing machine has had too much detergent, the machine will display error code F16.

Error code F16 occurs when too much detergent has been added to the soap compartment. This will form too much foam which will then trigger error code F16. You can solve the problem by using less detergent.

Error code F19

Error code F19 occurs when there is a flowmeter error.

The error code typically occurs if the flow meter has become defective.

Error code F20

Error code E22 occurs when there is a heating error.

Error code F20 is typically caused by a faulty heater.

Error code F50

When the washing machine displays error code F50, a motor-sensor problem has been detected. Typically, the error code occurs due to worn engine carbons, defective tachogenerator or defective engine.

If your washing machine is manufactured with motor carbon, we recommend checking whether the motor carbons are so worn that they do not touch the commutator. If this is the case, you can find new motor carbon below.

If your washing machine is produced with a three-phase motor without motor carbon, it is either a faulty tachogenerator or a faulty motor which is the cause of the error code.

Error code F51

Error code F51 there is a water level error.

When the washing machine displays error code F51, it is typically due to a faulty level control. However, be aware that if your washing machine is older, the level control is analogue and can therefore replace the motor carbon. If your washing machine is newer, the level control is part of the control board and must therefore replace the control board.

Error code F53

Error code F53 there is a tachogenerator error.

When your washing machine displays error code F53, there is typically a tachogenerator error. This may be due to a fault in the engine or control unit. By measuring the resistance in the tachogenerator, you can make sure which part is the fault before ordering a new spare part.

Error code F63

Error code F63 is displayed on a Miele washing machine if there is an error with a soap or water supply error.

Error code F63 can be caused by too much soap being used. If too much soap is used, there is a probability that several hoses will be blocked. First, run a machine wash without clothes and soap, in the hope that this will clean the soap residue in the hoses. If the washing machine still shows F63, you can try manually cleaning the hoses with detergent.

Another possibility for error code 63 is a misregistration of the inlet hose.
