Blender doesn't work

Step 1:

A bad power connection can be the reason why your blender doesn't work. This can be checked by first disconnecting the power cord and then testing the electrical switch by turning the blender switch to the 'on' position. Use a multimeter and press the blender switches one at a time. If there is a low reading, the switch is working. Otherwise, you will have to change the blender's switch.

Step 2:

Another thing you can do to fix a blender that isn't working is to clean the terminals. To access the terminals, first remove the plastic sheet covering the housing and power buttons to expose the screws holding the switch to the cover. Now remove the screws securing the plate to the housing. To clean, spray the solvent on the contact, terminals and openings.

Step 3:

Another thing you can do is check or test the fuse. To do this, first find the fuse that is at the end of the wire coming from the terminal. To which the power cord is connected. Use a voltmeter to take the reading. If the reading is high, you may need to replace the fuse, but make sure you get the correct size.
