If your tumble dryer won't turn on, it can be due to several things. Below you will find instructions for troubleshooting the problem, so that the dryer can hopefully get a new life and start running again. If you still need help, you can contact us, or book a service visit and we will come as soon as possible.
Step 1:
The problem may be caused by a fault in the socket. Therefore, make sure to check that another electrical device, for example a lamp, can be connected to the socket and receive power. If the socket does not work, a fuse in the installation may have blown, or the relay may have tripped. There is no fuse in the dryer.
Step 2:
If, on the other hand, there is power to the socket, the fault may instead be due to the mains cable and connection box on the tumble dryer being faulty.
Step 3:
The error may be caused by a faulty switch (on/off switch). This is located in the control panel of the dryer. Buy a new switch for your tumble dryer here.
Step 4:
It can also be due to the electronics in the dryer being faulty. Find new electronics here.
Step 1:
The error may be due to a faulty noise capacitor, which is the unit through which all current passes. The noise capacitor is often at the back of the top or at the bottom of the engine. You can find a new noise condenser for your tumble dryer here.
Step 2:
The tumble dryer is equipped with a door switch that detects when the door is open and closed. If the door switch is faulty and signals that the door is open, even though it is actually closed, the dryer will not start drying. Buy a new door lock for the dryer.
Step 3:
The error may be due to the dryer having overheated. If it has been, the overheating protection will be disconnected. On some tumblers, this fuse switches itself on after a while, when the machine has cooled down again, but on other machines the fuse has to be switched on again manually. And on other machines again, it will be necessary to completely replace the overheating protection. Buy a new overheating protection for your tumble dryer. The overheating protection is often connected to or on the heating element and the heating element is located on the back of the tumble dryer. The heater can usually be removed by loosening the screws on the heat shield, which is an independent part of the back plate.
