Iron will not heat

If your iron won't warm up, can it be due to the following:

• Make sure the iron is plugged in and the steam function is turned on. the steam control is located on the rotary knob, on the handle or on a knob.
• Lack of water in your iron will also result in less heat.
• You may have used the steam function too often in a short period of time. Hold the iron in a horizontal position and wait a while before using the steam function again.
• Failure to clean your iron can result in calcifications or gunk on the iron soleplate, which prevents the amount of steam from escaping.
